“Truth Wins”: Preparation to the International Novomedia Forum 2014 Continues

news:

This year International Novomedia Forum (INF) will take place on November 7-9 in Kyiv at Tourist hotel. The title of the forum – “Truth Wins” – is very characteristic of the current epoch in the Ukrainian history.

“During the political crisis, civilstrife and information war – honesty and professionalism remain top priorities for us as journalists. These are the values we will particularly emphasize during the fall media event. This is a kind of mobilization of journalists for ethical and peacemaking media work,” says Chairman of INF Organizing Committee Ruslan Kukharchuk.

Registration for this large-scale media event started on August 1. In order to participate, all the interested parties need to fill out an application form on the INF website.

The issuance of the official INF poster marked the start of the event’s promotion campaign. According to designer Maksym Kuzmenko, in the conditions of the information war, the triumph of truth is the highest priority issue. That is why, together with devastation and chaos, the poster portrays a sprout symbolizing truth which media workers are called to voice. But it is possible only via joint efforts of the media community.

Traditionally, INF poster will be promoted through a number of Internet platforms, interested organizations and churches as well as through billboards, city lights, newspapers and magazines.

Moreover, local and international media – both religious and secular – will receive the poster and other advertising materials electronically.

INF administrator Tatiana Pinchuk says, “It is the fourth year that our team organizes the country’s largest journalist event. We expect to see friends and colleagues as well as a lot of new faces.”

International Novomedia Forum is a large-scale annual journalist event organized in Kyiv.
