The Journalists Association “Novomedia” 

"The transformation of media returns the transformation of nation"

 

The Novomedia Association is the all-Ukrainian non-governmental journalistic organization. It was founded in 2004 on the initiative of journalist Ruslan Kukharchuk. The Association unites Christian journalists and other creative stuff of different media in two common ways: spiritual unity and professional interests.

For today, Novomedia  Association  includes about 200 members from secular and Christian media and has representatives in the majority of regions of Ukraine. There are also members of the community in Russian Federation, USA and Canada.


The Novomedia Forum for journalists will be held in Ukraine

Registration for the International Novomedia Forum, a conference focused on evangelization through mass media, has already begun, reports The Christian Telegraph in reference to the Journalists’ Association “Novomedia” press center. The event will be held in Kiev on November, 18-20.

The Journalists’ Association “Novomedia” took the lead in planning the event.Participants from Ukraine and foreign countries will come to learn about new possibilities and techniques for evangelizing though the use of mass-media.

The Forum program incorporates a variety of events including exhibitions, presentations, lectures from leading experts, trainings, subject round tables, and a media-party. The Forum motto is “New media and eternal values,” and one of the most important themes will be secular media coverage of religious subjects.

“We strongly believe that mass-media cannot function beyond a system of ethics,” states Ruslan Kukharchuk, President of the Association “Novomedia”. “We invite everyone who agrees or disagrees with our conception to participate.”

The special Forum website has also been started.

The Journalists’ Association “Novomedia” is a nationwide public journalistic organization, based in Ukraine. It was founded in 2004 by journalist Ruslan Kukharchuk. The organization brings together journalists and other creative media workers who are Christians of different denominations. At this time, there are about two hundred people in the Association who work in the fields of bothsecular and religious media. The organization has offices in most regions of Ukraine. Members of this Association live in the Russian Federation, United States and Canada. Novomedia, together with its associates, is committed to forming healthy informational news in Ukraine and helps to promote Christian ethics in society through media.
