Informational campaign and presentation of Novomedia Assosiation in Ukraine and other counties of CIS have started this May. This campaign has two goals. First goal is to involve Christian media workers to evangelism in the media. Second, it is to mobilize media believers and motivate them to attend the International forum of Novomedia, which is going to be in Kiev in the fall.
Edward Sivets, teacher, journalist and a member of the Novomedia Association held the first presentation of the Novomedia Association for students at the Bible Institute in Krivoy Rog. Besides all the required academic disciplines many students from central and eastern Ukraine had chance to listen about the purpose and main activities of this Novomedia. The speaker is also answered all the questions from the audience, by making clear some general themes of the presentation and he also showed an examples of the necessity of Christian journalism in society.

The presentation of the Novomedia Association was also on May 5th at the pastor’s council in Sevastopol.  Around 15 representatives of various denominations from different Sevastopol’s churches attended this event. During the presentation, everyone got more information about Novomedia activities and got well-informed about the activities conducted by the Novomedia Association. Members of the organization Catherine and Helen Zibiny shared with pastors with some plans about great event that will be in the fall, got them know about monthly donations, and also presented all the possibilities for cooperation with Novomedia. Participants got interested about the contributions and autumn’s forum from Novomedia.

Yuriy Shkurat, pastor of the church "House of Bread” shared: "I am very grateful to God that nowadays young people are creating and participating in organizations such as Novomedia. What we see today is a huge problem of quality and reliability of the information. And it is very good that we have people who understand that! I think we all need to participate in such activities, just because Christ is calling us to that. He said go and do! And we have to go and that professionally and qualitatively.  Evangelism in the media – it is really important and all churches should get aware of it. Me personally and my church will consider our participation in Novomedia Assosiation activities.”

Elena Zibina, journalist thinks: “Despite all the worries we had the presentation was successful. We were able to share with solutions of problems that Novomedia Assosiation working on at this point of time.  Most participants agreed that the transformation of society is possible through transformation of the media. This means that we have successfully showed the importance of participation in such activities as media-forums from Novomedia. I think that all the members of Novomedia should do this kind of presentation in their cities. If there is possibility to go to the Pastorate’s Council, I encourage to do it, because there is a quick way to spread out the information immediately to all churches in the city. And it’s very simple to do the presentation with all the materials that Novomedia Association providing you with.”
