The Journalists Association “Novomedia” 

"The transformation of media returns the transformation of nation"

 

The Novomedia Association is the all-Ukrainian non-governmental journalistic organization. It was founded in 2004 on the initiative of journalist Ruslan Kukharchuk. The Association unites Christian journalists and other creative stuff of different media in two common ways: spiritual unity and professional interests.

For today, Novomedia  Association  includes about 200 members from secular and Christian media and has representatives in the majority of regions of Ukraine. There are also members of the community in Russian Federation, USA and Canada.

On Saturday, March 6th, Ruslan Kukharchuk held an educational media course at the invitation of Slavic Pentecostal Church in Rochester (New York). The program for the day included following topics: PR for churches and religious organizations, the information department of the church, journalism in different kinds of media and civil journalism. 

The training was attended by residents of the city of Rochester, as well as guests from closest cities. Some of them have already had some experience in the media, however, the vast majority of participants had never been involved in media field. 

The pastor of the church Gregory Kasap have blessed The Novomedia Association for useful educational course.The head of Novomedia Ruslan Kukharchuk added: "Many years already we have conducting specialized training for churches and religious organizations throughout Ukraine. We are happy that we can share some experience outside of Ukraine as well."
